Nancy is an Inclusion Specialist and the Founder of S.T.A.R. – Supported Typing & Autism Resources In San Clemente, CA. Nancy specializes in the use of Assistive Technology in the general education classroom for those clients with limited communication abilities. The main goal of S.T.A.R. is to provide literacy opportunities for those clients with communication disorders through the use of technology. Through the strategy of Supported Typing, Nancy teaches clients how to access a keyboard and make reliable choices despite movement disorder challenges. Nancy also provides staff trainings for school and home programs and inclusion strategies for using Assistive Technology in classrooms. Nancy has a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Masters Degree in Special Education from Chapman University, and a certificate in Assistive Technology from the California State University at Dominguez Hills.
